Stableford on the Tuart

What, no trophies today? Nothing for the mantlepiece?

That's right. Just a straightforward Stableford competition. What do you think this is, the Masters or something?

They've just had a lost ball, wrong fairway, windy, an aggregate score of eighteen strokes
on the par 5, AND THEY'RE STILL SMILING.
That's the SOS spirit!

A beautiful day, nothing to be frightened of. The scary BOM forecast never eventuated, the temperature remained delightfully temperate, and the breeze was nothing more than gentle.

So you're playing in front of Brett today?

We teed off nice and early, and were done by midday, but not too early for a cold beer, or something similar.

Ginger for us.

Missed our regular blogmaster, who is nursing a (sporting) injury - get well soon, sir.

That's Lynne on the left and Lynley on her left.

Those of us who are playing on Thursday, the weather forecast is clement, and there will be maps and playing groups soonest.

With nearest the pin prizes on every hole, there will be plenty to play for.

Beware the photobomber!

So, starting with the novelties, how did we go?

A fair spread of scores, but no really stellar performances, with the winner on 38. (Not to take anything away from the winner, but...)

A win's a win, suckers!

You'll be aware the double strike rule has been removed with the new rules. That's allowed an innovative solutiont to try, next time you're snookered by a tree.

Next week, it's the first week of the Summer Cup on the Tuart - a two week stroke competition.

This huge investment in lotto tickets realised....absolutely nothing.
That can't be fair, can it?

New shirts will be available next week, and we'll aim to take a club photograph on the second week of the Summer Cup, and also celebrate with a sausage sizzle. So be there.

Too true

And if you haven't come across Rick Shiels yet, he's one of the better Youtube coaches. Well produced videos and he talks a lot of sense.
