Country Cup - Rockingham

A chance for all of us to get out of the 'burbs and on to the Freeway - gosh, such a long way and we're still on the UBD atlas. Vickie and Earle, living closest, managed to get lost getting to the course - more of us managed to get lost actually on the course.

Highlights included Lorenzo wrestling with one of the world's most venomous snakes, and not even in Goliardic costume. Photo's anyone?

The weather threatened more than it delivered - we soon found the best way of stopping the rain was to don all our wet weather gear, at which point the sun would break through and make us take it all off again.

Spring Cup, Round 2

The second round of the Spring Cup on the Old Course - the greens still a little slower than usual after their coring and sanding.

And spring was certainly in the air, with the rough decorated profusely with our own native wildflowers. Had I been playing better I would have taken some photos - maybe next week.

And the golf? A number of players posting competitive scores, certainly plenty still in contention. Thanks to Bernie for sponsoring the competition, albeit from a distance. Trust the Emerald Isle is being good to you, Bernie.

Lynn stood in for Kerry, who'd taken a turn for the worse on the 8th, resulting in a twisted knee and an early shower - best  wishes for a speedy recovery.
