And what a strange day - beautifully cool, but with one significant downside.

Some really good scores today, no disasters, and most people coming away with what can only be called "respectable" cards.
John took us through some of the most important of the new rules, which are now only six weeks away.
You can leave the flag in for your putt, even if you're on the green. (The famous coach, David Leadbetter, maintains it's always better to leave it in if you have the choice). You can now remove loose hazards from the bunker without a penalty, and a dropped ball is now dropped from knee height (but you still have to be standing up when you drop it).
Greg Bennett was awarded his personal trophy for winning the Match Play. He has now won this competition in 1995, 2009, 2012, 2017 and 2018. Becoming a bit of a habit.
(Look, it was a bit of a scramble to get these results down. If I've got you wrong, don't get pissed off, just let me know and I'll change it).
A great round from Peter, who seems to either win each week or bring up the rear.
Then we headed off to Al Fornetto in Scarborough for the Annual Dinner, which was a lot of fun.
A very enjoyable evening - good food, good wine, and presentation of the following trophies.
