PAR

What a strange day - thunder was rolling around in the background, the sky went all dark, the merest hint of rain, then the sun came out again and all was well.

Not used to that in Perth.

Fly spray? Nah - I'll karate them like this....

It proved a tough game for some of us. We were playing for the Diggers' Trophy, and all fines for this month go towards the maintenance of the Diggers' memorial plaques in King's Park.

Now that's what I call a follow-through..

Those one pointers that we pick up when playing Stableford all become minuses.

A big turn out, and lots of people back from wherever they'd been.

We saw Kerry, and Colin, and Don, and Bernie, and Keith.

It's goodbye to Windiemere,  hullo to Windy Perth..

Good to have you all back, we've missed you.

I said the BALL...put the BALL in the hole..

John shuffled the novelties around a bit this week, but the usual suspects were well up to the mark.

GOLDEN HOLE

Jack

Jack managed a brilliant iron shot on the 12th, to take home the Golden Hole. Not the world's biggest jackpot - it seems to be going off fairly regularly these days - have we been practising?

And yes, I did sink the birdie..

Next week sees the start of the summer season, and all those eclectic scores go back to zero.

Next time you're snookered, try and be a bit more creative, like this...

Any last minute takers for the dinner? It's your chance to cash in the implicit subsidy provided by your membership fee, not to mention the free booze. And it's a good night out.

Jeanie's third card today, and she's been welcomed as a member - good to have you on board.

So, on this day of days, who won?

One of the truly great rounds there from Greg, and thanks to Colin, who not only marked his card but also sponsored the prize - a true gentleman.

And remember, whoever said "Practice makes perfect" never played golf.

Next week, it's President's Trophy on the Old Course.
