Ambrose Pairs

The competition today was Ambrose Pairs and 11 teams set off on the Tuart Course in slightly overcast conditions, perfect golfing weather! Co-operation was required with team members having to decide which ball was in the best position for the next shot, whilst ensuring that each member had at least 6 drives.

The only one able to steer her own course was guest Chloe Bedlow.

Ready to play!

Everyone is a winner on a day like this!

Glen and Gerry arguing over who is 'best dressed'?

Beware the wildlife! While it is snake season at Wembley,
others have larger critters to look out for!

It is rumored that Earle cleans Vickie's clubs each week. Not so with the Longhursts where Frances cleans her own!

Frances with her bespoke club head cleaner.
 Is that a repurposed trophy?

Nearly a HIO !
Gary's tee ball hit the 18th flag stick before rolling back.

Missing in Action

Glenn Kelly sent this photo to explain why he was not able to join us in the game, as he is normally want to do!  We hope to see you back on the course very soon! Get well!!

Ash Tray

Stephanie excelled in calling out the list of fines indicating, perhaps, some previous practice?
Of course, all in a good cause as most of the takings are directed toward SOS's philanthropic causes.

Stephanie proudly hold aloft the bag of lollies for the lowest score,
while partner Mark Hill is not to be seen?

The Raffle

Not content with winning the competition with team-mate Brett, Richard Osborne also won the Raffle and claimed the $10 note and a scratchie.

Richard - modest in victory!

Bernie deftly spins the barrel and calls the numbers!

Next Week

There is no game next Saturday as SOS moves to the country for the Annual Country Cup next Sunday, 26 September.

The venue is the Pinjarra Golf Club located at the corner of Pinjarra Road and Sutton Streets, Pinjarra.

Video of the Week

This may be beneficial to that part of the membership who are starting to stiffen up!

Meanwhile, . . . . . back to reality
