SOS Cup, Round 2

All a bit tense and nervous this morning, the second week of a two-week stroke competition.

I think we've got too much to make up...

Dave leading the field - would he be able to hold off the challengers?

They queued for the movie rights, it was so all-engrossing.

Can we do a Take 2 on that drive?

The leaders teed off into the wind, and were soon lost to the rest of us.

May the best man win, oh, er, well, whatever.......

Time alone would tell...

It was the first warm day of the year. We got to 32C, but that wasn't reached until 3:30, well after we were all in.

Frances has a birthday this week, we gave her all a big cheer.

Dave not only won a $50 voucher in the IGA competition, for his winning score last week, but also won the raffle for the second week running.

Is that even allowed?? Constitution check required.

More confused than ever? Maybe one that just goes straight would be good...

If you haven't done so already, please let Shelley know if you're going to the Annual Dinner on Nov 23. Always a fun night, good food, good company.

Jeanie keeps it classy after the game

So, now for the novelties - spread around this week, but the Golden Hole still waiting to be claimed, now a very impressive $328 plus next week's kitty.

Congratulations to both Earle and Don, - a couple of very impressive rounds.

Meanwhile, Brett managed to kop a bit of friendly fire - tapping himself on the ankle with his putter.

This is known as the Achilles Tap Test, used to indicate lower motor neurons at certain levels of the body and is a scientific way to assess thyroid function.

I think he passed the test.

Earle is coming from behind, but has he done enough?

But it was one of last week's leaders who managed to hold off the competition to take out the SOS Cup.

Well done, Frances, and in your birthday week too!

Next week, we're playing Captain's Choice on the Old Course.

\

She has chosen Stableford, with a side competition counting your putts, so make sure to putt out.
