SOS Golf - Spring Cup Round 1

A magnificent spring day welcomed a depleted group of 15 of SOS's best for the first round of the Spring Cup. The second and final round of the Spring Cup is being held next week, on 14 September, and given the low numbers of players, the field is wide open!

Some were more prepared for the contest than others . . .

As the bloggist was 1st to tee off, he was a bit slow to capture any of the action. However, here is a shot of the 18th hole, blue shies and the beautiful fountain in action.  The cored and sanded greens were still producing slow putts, but not as bad as last week!

Brett nails the sweet spot when driving his tee ball to level with the 17th green pin!

A modest display of satisfaction was in order . . . .

Special techniques are required when the pond next to the 14th green claims your ball!

TREAD WITH CARE
With spring in the air the local tiger snake (and dugite?) population is apparently on the move. The photo below is of a juvenile tiger snake, similar to one seen on the Wembley Golf Course last week!!
