WINTER CUP, ROUND 2

A big day for SOS - not just the final round of the Winter Cup

But also Christmas in July in August.

I've won the raffle

We beat the weather forecast again - a delightful day of golf before a deluge on the way home.

How good are we?

Well, not that good actually.

Apart from Paul, who had a round to remember.

Police say this man is still at large, and should not be approached

75 off the stick, 13 pars and a nett 62! Deftly managed to avoid a single birdie.

Ian's view from Darwin Yacht Club - have a great time, mate

And Keith, who scuffed his first drive, barely avoiding a slut, before birdying with a pitch shot from 120 metres that hit the flag and dropped in the hole.

It's a funny game.

I won a golf ball, too

The Golden Hole accumulates yet another week's worth of contributions

And Paul's amazing round not enough to topple John, who managed two very solid rounds, with Earle in third place.

How good were they!

Whoops, done a Steffi! I forgot my clubs

Then it was off to Christmas.

Looking forward to a good time with my new friends

An absolute triumph, and one of SOS's greatest ever events.

BTW, has anyone seen these flamingoes? Apparently escaped after the Kris Kringle last night - last seen at Scarborough Beach

Fantastic effort from Kerry, and her band of willing helpers, who produced a magnificent spread.

Now that's what I call a turkey

And then, of course, there was the Kris Kringle event - always a blast.

Looking great. The ham's very attractive, too

Much fun was had by all - again, a huge thank you to Kerry - we're very lucky to have you.

I'm tucking in..

Some of George Calombaris' underpaid (unpaid) workers

We work for tips

Next week, Par Plus on the Tuart - see you there.

Escaped flamingoes spotted making new friends here  - please call Jeanie if you know where they are now

By now, the party was really beginning to swing. Mainly from left to right and up and down a bit.

If you can remember it, you probably weren't really there.

I went back for seconds

I'm having some ham with my cherries

Gosh, this was the part of the evening I really don't remember

Another sighting of the flamingo.

An absolute blast of an evening - huge thanks to everyone who contributed. These are the sort of things that make belonging to a club like SOS worthwhile. Well done.
