Club Championship Round 6

I feel a good round coming on. Maybe in a month or two.
Our Communications Officer is swanning it on a cruise. I have only two words for him: Costa Concordia.

Country Cup alert - next Sunday, 8.06 at Yanchep Golf Course. Watch out for these:

Kangaroo Ticks out and about this time of year. Watch out in the rough. Long pants a good idea. If you have an insect repellent with DEET, spray this around ankles, wrists and where top tucks into pants. They crawl into gaps. Watch bare arms. Seriously - they're not very nice. I speak from experience.

If you get one, good advice for dealing with them here. Don't just rip them off.

Let Gary know if you want a cart - apparently the course is "hilly"
So, on to today.

How come I've got to play with Derek again?
Not sure what happened to the "Showers increasing". Thanks BOM, carried all the wet weather tackle around for nothing!

"Steph's bum is 122". Is that inches or centimetres?
Welcome back to Ian and Earle. Two weeks at Golf School in the Land of the Long White Cloud and what do we get --- a windy!
Hitting them nice and straight today.

Greens sanded, so a lot of putts left short.

But, for those of us who were able to master the conditions:

Barry's going to enjoy this.

Apparently the fines were very disappointing this week. Peter reports that we generally raise a good $20, today we barely made $14. Did we just play well?

Thank you to Graeme for his generous sponsorship. We gather Barry will be enjoying a wide range of toasted sandwiches in the days and weeks ahead.

Beginning to look like a golf course again.
