The forecast rain fortunately fell before dawn leaving a rain free sparkling day to enjoy a round of golf with friends! A very pleasant 21°c, scattered cloud and virtually no wind!

The theme was pink! Shelley, Roland, Derek & Andrea complied! |
The greens were soft and the fairways smooth! Even the 2nd cut had been recently trimmed allowing better than normal recovery shots.

The ladies chose a game of Pink Peril. The game was played on the Old Course with four teams of 4 players. Each team was provided with a pink ball with each members of the team taking turns to play the pink ball. The stableford score of the team member with the pink ball was combined with the best score of the other 3 players to produce an aggregate score for each hole.

SOS is seeing a variety of golf ball logos on the course. Earle used a distinctive ball today!
Is this the way of the future? Will it score better than a clean skin?

Regretably, only one photo was taken of the game in progress - thanks to the blogger.
Remember, there is a competition for the best photo each week - please have your cameras ready and send it to the bloggers email address!

SOS Captain Roland Petrie opened the post match gathering congratulating Shelley and Pugdog on their recent birthday celebrations.
Next Week - Roland reminded everyone that next weeks game is Round 1 of the SOS Club Championship and will be played on the Tuart Course commencing around 9.16 am.
As it also falls on Anzac Day celebrations it is suggested that players wear something appropriate for the occasion.
