Easter Cup

Yet another delightful day for playing golf in Perth - a bit warm and somewhat humid, but the occasional breeze cooled the perspiration as 24 players battled it out in a stableford competition for the Easter Cup on the Tuart Course.

Liberal quantities of liquid were required to re-hydrate players in the sticky conditions!

The Game

With six groups playing, the distance between each group expanded and contracted as the competition proceeded and the fortunes of each player waxed and waned. Balls were struck in every manner possible with the sweet spot being the exception to the rule!

James caught taking a cat-nap !?*?

Barry climbs a tree to take a shot !

Keith's automated buggy came a cropper thereby
scoring a fine for losing control of equipment!

Captain's Announcements

Gerry Tessier addressed members noting the delay in obtaining the Results Sheet today had been caused by a missing score card which had not been scanned!

Gerry also noted that if members could generally improve the quality of completed score cards it would also speed up the announcement of results and help Greg, our master statistical analyst, compile all the statistics and the annual eclectic competition.

Thanks to Greg for maintaining all the statistics for our organisation, much appreciated  master statistician!

Before scanning the score card at the Pro Shop please ensure it includes:
-    the name of the marker and their handicap
-    a circle around the score of birdie/eagle holes, and
-    details of birdie/eagle written in the top right corner next to the score.
-    both the player and the marker must sign the score card.

A sample card is shown below:

After scanning the card, please be sure to hand it to the Vice Capitaine ( Earle ) as soon as you arrive at the club house.

Of course . . . any missing cards will be add on our fine list :😉

Committee Comment

The committee has received several comments concerning the level of chatter during proceedings at the club house! Could members kindly cease talking when someone has the floor! This will allow others to hear what is being said, thereby being informed as to who won what, the raffle numbers and similar points of interest.

The Results

Congratulations to Stephanie who scored a creditable 39 points to win the Easter Cup by 3 points from Tony Gooch and Vickie Scarff, both on 36 points.
