Club Camps round 2

Sponsored by the wayward Paul Wayne King
if anybody has seen the prize please let the Committee know,,,

Boys chillin

This could potentially be the worst Blog in the world Evers, as i've had a really bad week!
Not only did i DQ myself, lost ball in the woods when we ALL saw where it went, but i'm just plain grumpy!

Plus it rained like a real rainy thing, and everyone knows i'm a FairWeather player,,,,

even worse i had time at the Worst Sales Conference in the World EVER!
Just don't ask!
The pictures speak a thousand words, but none that start with an F-ing C,,,

I heard a reason that they're saving money, but this is literally taking the piss!
And to cap it all i hurt my back.

Anyway on with the 2nd round,,,,,,,,,

Results
The Scarlet One came out of left field and played a bloody blinder, as the rest of ud folded.

Mystery Man you deserve it dude!

Ambrose Pairs

Well, that was nice, wasn't it. A pleasantly cool day, an early start, and a no-pressure game where you could always rely on your partner to dig you out of trouble.

We'll be giving it our best shot today

Quietly confident.

I'll just be giving this young lady some golfing lessons

On the starting grid.

With the president in America, there was a strange end of term flavour about the day. No handicaps to destroy, no nasty shots from under the Xanthorrhoea preissi, in fact, nothing to worry about at all.

Modelling the latest golf fashions
Gosh, aren't we all playing well today

The men with no name.

This could be our day.

Someone want's to get in on the act

Warmest birthday wishes to Richard Yeo for Monday. Save some cake for us.

Stan not too happy about the draw

Worst raffle ever. All these numbers left in the box.

Have you really scrolled down this far? And you still don't know who won, do you? Keep going, nearly there...

"After that great shot, I feel like I've got butterflies coming out of my bum." No, we weren't sure either.

This is high finance. We could have saved Lehman Brothers

And the golden hole is now up to $107 on the Tuart. A couple more weeks and it'll be worth having a go at.

Stephanie photo-bombs the team photo, and adds a bit of glamour to an otherwise....
The captain pays a proprietorial visit

After 27 numbers drawn, finally, a winner.
 And now, the novelties:

At last...the winners:

Thomas & Ian
66.50

Not much doubt about that...well played, Stan & Vickie. An unbeatable combination.

And a couple of great prizes, thank you Clement & Co. See them here:

(Coo, nice website!)

The all important winners are grinners shot. (Come on Stan, crack a smile, Deeta's home cooking you a beautiful dinner).

But of course, there can only be one winner. Well, no, two actually.

And a note from the Captain - next week it's the second round of the Club Championship. Can you let Glen know by Monday pm if you need to pull out.

Club Champs round 1

Sponsored by the roguish Greg Bennett.

T'was a fine day for golf as it happened  to fall on the most wondrous of days that is St George's Day, so in honour i regaled in the red & white of the Mother Country.

In true spirit of such a day tensions were high as people readied themselves for the off.

Even the Scarlet Pimpernel was feeling the stress of the upcoming competition,,,,,, almost succumbing to a full frontal pic!

To help celebrate the magnificence of the day we welcomed back

Phil The Gambler McCleod, Son-in-Law Jason, and the inimitable Rich Angry Yeo.

Yep Jase, you had better check your change!

And then there was my beautiful wifey, with her new set of Pings, just waiting to be christened in the rough.

Unfortunately although the new clubs fared well, the putter seemed to fail!

A slightly dishevelled wifey was heard to utter
"Fkn hate golf" as yet another Garcia finally dropped.

At least Ernie Els never showed his face,,, hehehheeee

Captains Corner
Never again – missing golf for a godchild’s Ice Age mammoth Adventure!
Well done to Ron for fantastic 66 (gross 82) dropping 1 stroke to 15 (GA 14.3) on the Old course but have heard that he is looking for a new driver as Rita left him and the cart on the 18th green with big brother repeating ‘forbidden area”.
Steffi was the only other player to lose a stroke down 1 to 19 (GA 17.7) (for both the Old & Tuart courses).
Next week Ambrose Pairs with Clement & Co as the sponsor.

Guest:  Jason 86 gross with a birdie on the 4th.

Novelties
Unfortunately due to cooking and cleaning duties, and the announcements starting a trifle early, i haven't a clue who won what for the day,,,,
I do know i got my name on one, despite Brett almost forgetting the marker and having to run back to the hole amidst a chorus of "fine, fine, fine" from the group behind hehehehhehe

But big thanks to Fran & Kerry for providing the beautiful salads,,,, and for Brett and myself for the chefing duties and providing such fine beverages!

And yes Peter, there is some left!

Golden Hole
Well done to the miraculous Dave, who clearly had a very mixed round.
Although coming last, and therfore winning the lollies, at least he managed one good shot as he took home the massive prize pot of $47.

Spend it wisely my good man!

Fines of the Week
Firstly there has to be a massive fine for Davo for a very 'mixed' round, but what else do we have????

An absolute classic and a very true assessment of the game

Derek to Paul -- after being on the range i enquired politely:-
"How'd you go Derek, getting any betterer?"
"Unfortunately not Paul, i'm just practising the problems!"

Then there was the strangely boisterous Vickie,,,, must be taking advantage as Earl was off entertaining the god-child:-

Vickie -- "i'm actually feeling a little bit diabolical"
as she crashes her cart into another unsuspecting driver

And continuing on the cart theme

Rita -- getting involved a game of Cart Wars, as after dropping off Ron to the 18th green, the buggy's GPS seemed to malfunction  shouting
"No entry, return to Fairway"
like an insane dalek and forcing Rita to have to reverse all the way back to the clubhouse!
Comedy genius,,, if only i had a pic!!!

And then there was another entry by Davo, who after filling his plate with sausage and salad proceeded to wander around accusing people of stealing his beer!
Hopefully you found the culprit.

Random Pics

Cart wars eh Vickie & Rita???

Get in quick Stiff, before those Kookaburras get it!

Looking a bit pensive there Bernie.

Listening intently,,,,,,

Worst raffle in the world evers

Ahhh my friend, beer,,, how i've missed you

Loving the scoff

Glorious arvo for a BBQ, not bad for Autumn.

Will we ever get a pic of the Pimpernel????

I love a good sausage.

Great pic

Wifey and I will be at the Taste of Perth next week, eating & drinking to our hearts content,,,, so see ya in a couple of weeks.

Enjoy the Ambrose Pairs!
