The Memorial Trophy
Todays round was a very special day on the SOS G.C.'s calendar when we remember those members that have passed on to golfing heaven.
Yes there is a golf course in heaven.
However this past member did have a little explaining to do
The conditions again were absolutely perfect for some good golf. This week we were joined by two guests of Keith and Carol, Tony & Sandra Smith who had traveled all the from Melbourne just to play golf at Royal Wembley and also take in the sights of our fabulous city.

Lynley was fascinated by this incredible stork display on a cluster of grass trees on the second hole.
Coops however was less impressed. Having landed behind them and attempting to hit over them onto the green he clipped the middle stork, killing two bees in the process, and saw his ball deflect to the left. A few expletive's later he racked up a double bogey but was grateful to not take home the lollies again this week having climbed back up the ladder to where he usually resides.

Post match chatter and fines
Next week it's Round 1 of the SOS Cup. Can Gardy retain the Cup?
Beastly tee time of 7.24 again (who's responsible for this?) and we are playing the Old.
Next week the Maestro will be back on the blog, so all photos etc. to Derek please.
I'll leave you with this.
