Ambrose Fours

Nice to have  a team game for a change.

Team ready to rock and roll

A beautiful day for it, although there was a rather stiff easterly for the first few holes.

Discussing strategy

But it was Ambrose, so there was always someone else to cover when you did a poor shot.

This is what life feels like when you've finished your exams

Especially when you played with Max and Brett. (Sore shoulders, anyone?)

We wished Gim a happy birthday, even though she wasn't there

Can I take her drives?

And learned what the annual subscription was going to be for 2020.

Our beloved treasurer and her partner have headed off into darkest Asia

Bernie's chipped in her Aldi token again...

So our beloved Peter has taken over financial responsibilities in the interim.

A worthy winner

Greg received the trophy for B grade champion - well done, Greg.

And we all dipped deep into our pockets for the last week of contributions to the Diggers' charity - well done, SOS.

Gary has been investigating the possibility of new shirts - more to follow.

Funny that.

Here's the list of trophies that were awarded at the Annual Dinner last week.

Thanks to Kerry for organising the prizes and the competition.

An excellent all-round effort

A husband and wife are on the 9th green when suddenly she collapses from a heart attack.
”Help me dear," she groans to her husband. The husband calls 911 on his cell phone, talks for a few minutes, picks up his putter, and lines up his putt.
His wife raises her head off the green and stares at him. "I'm dying here and you're putting."
"Don't worry dear," says the husband calmly, "they found a doctor on the second hole and he's coming to help you."
"Well, how long will it take for him to get here?" she asks feebly. "No time at all," says her husband. "Everybody's already agreed to let him play through.”

Next week, the Anniversary Cup on the Tuart. See you there.
