Some noble efforts at acknowledging the day. Kerry and Paul had Australian citizenship bestowed upon them - a couple of excellent additions to the team.

And a thumbs down to Richard Osborne, who was awarded the Tie of Shame, for making no effort at all to acknowledge the occasion (although we have to accept it may have been as a protest at Invasion Day. In which case, we apologise for our insensitivity)

The Golden Hole went off again - with Earle taking home the chocolates after getting inside Shelley's earlier effort. (But don't get too excited, there was only one week's contributions in the pot).

Richard Osborne and the computer had a disagreement again, but it was enough to save him the embarrassment on the lollies, which went to his equally poorly played brother-in-law.

I'm going to need another mantelpiece

A very tidy round from John, who shone on most holes without every really blinding on any - a good solid unpretentious round being enough to pick up the trophy, although a birdie on the thirteenth is always welcome.

Now I've just got to work on the accent..

Tee-off is at 5:30, the course is at Lapsley Road, off  Davies Rd opposite the Claremont Football Club.

The longest hole is 137 metres, the shortest 84. Men and women play from the same tees.
