OK, now let's have a look at yesterday's game.

It promised to be a chilly, but sunny Saturday morning, and the attire of our club members showed that "layers" were the choice of outfit.

                                                                BEFORE THE GAME

Derek dropped his Motocaddy battery
onto his mandarin lunch snack

Frances apparently is not happy 😉

Lynley & birthday girl Lynne
rugged up and ready for the "freezing day" ahead

Steph is in early, rumours are that she has
forfaited her space in the last group
to anyone who wants to sleep in.

Goochy is back, and Kristian is our latest
"approved" new member! Welcome 😃

P&P

Earle, one of those true Ozzies...he kept
playing with long sleeves & vest even
through the later higher temperatures

Oh yess, that will be a great game 🏌🏌🏌

Peter is posing while Shelley does a last-minute
check on the player field

"Come join us for the photo."

Okayyy, Ladies selfie

Ladies lowest vs Ladies highest HCP
"Never give up" 😂😂😂

Birgit is showing true Central European
spirit. Shorts & short sleeves
"It's not THAT cold, folks!"

Pre-game committee meeting

No, Derek is not meditating; he's watching Fran's
first tee shot.

DURING THE GAME

Andrea's excellent tee shot on hole #4.
Despite having her feet in the bunker
she managed to par the hole!

That's one of Kristian's monster tee shots.
The ball landed a couple of metres
short of the 14th green,
but unfortunately resulted in a bogey.

Peter in trouble: Bunker.....

to bunker.....

.....to bunker.

Birgit is hacking her way out of a spot of bother
in golfic terms "a difficult lie".

Shelley: "Hey Birgit, I got him."

"Him?" Earle in a spot of bother

One of Goochy's monster shots.
Instead of trespassing he smashed
his Titleist into a tree.
The tree survived, the ball didn't.

Just a little set-back for Shelley
and not a real challenge.

Derek was spotted on hole #9 searching
for his ball. (view from #10)

Dave: Ready, steady, go!

Rolie as always "best dressed".
Who else can colour match, cap, shirt, shoes & golf bag?

AFTER THE GAME

Let's start with the NOVELTIES (sorry, forgot to note the hole numbers for the LD's)

Longest Drive Ladies:        Lynley, Maureen, overdriven by FRAN

Longest Drive Men:           Gardy (40 m onto the fairway), Gary, overdriven by COOPS

NP in 3 on # 11:                  Lynne, Derek, Maureen, beaten by PAUL B (so it stays in the family)

NP in 2 on #10:                   Keith beaten by COOPS

and the BIRDIES

Kristian        1 & 9

Steph            13

Goochy        8

Paul B        1,7, 11, 17

Keith            16

Rolie            2

As we can see when reviewing the results, you don't need birdies to win.

And the winner is:

Andrea with a great score of 38 pts

runner ups: Steph (37 pts) and Coops (35 pts)

We can assume those 4 players on positions 4-7 who lost on count back were counting their missed puts after the results came out.

Just a couple of photos from the celebrations at hole #19

Beer, wine, and french fries, commonly known as chips

Gerry is auctioning off the remaining raffle tickets

"Can I finally start?"

Guess, who needs a hairdresser!?

A big thank you for the photos: Derek, Shelley, Peter, Kristian and Gerry
