A diminished field, comprising 19 of SOS's hardiest fronted up for the Masters Trophy (11 players), open to members who have won a 36 hole Cup event or the Match Play competition in any fixture year, and 8 non qualifiers who tagged along playing stableford.
As the weather forecast predicted, it was very hot and very windy! The temperature climbed to 37°c while wind gusts up to 60kph or more inverted umbrellas and steered balls in directions not anticipated by high ball players!
