Ladies Day

Yet again, the weather was superb with clear blue skies and the temperature a balmy 28c or so!  The wind, however, was consistently strong with gusts up to 45 kph making it a major factor in club selection and deciding in whether or not to keep the ball low.

Conditions for the annual Ladies Day competition were favorable! The event includes a 'Mugs Cup' award for the male player with the lowest score and a separate competition where female members get to compete among themselves!

The stableford competition was on the Old Course where the Golden Hole pot had escalated to over $200!

Keith receives 1st place gift card from Captain Gerry Tessier.
Keith's score included 3 birdies on holes 1, 4 & 10.

Gary takes 2nd place on a count-back from Keith.

Barry takes out 3rd place, one shot behind Gary.

Golden Hole

A strong following wind made it a bit tricky in club selection, but one may have anticipated that chance may have taken at least one of the balls close to the pin!  No to be!!

The Old Course jackpot continues to increase and should be around $250 for next week's game!

Ash Tray Collection

Derek makes a passionate explanation for taking out the Mugs Trophy!

The windy conditions contributed toward a bumper fines collection as Derek called out the list of fine-able conduct.

Raffle

Carol spins the raffle balls watched on closely by Ian and Earle!

Congratulations to Gary for taking 1st prize of a $10 note and potentially valuable 'Scratchie'

Birdies & Eagles

No eagles today and only two players managed to score birdies in the windy conditions!
Congratulations to Keith for scoring 3 of the 4 birdies!

Mark Hill

Mark Hill's longest drive on the 15th nearly reached the green, possibly assisted by the tail wind that had been gusting at the time!

Captain, Gerry Tessier engages in earnest discussion with west end of table!
