The wind was a little strong occasionally and required careful management of the ball whilst in flight, particularly tee shots on the 18th, which received at least 10 metres assistance from the following wind!

For the second week in a row, Paul smoked his drive on the 273 metre par 4, 7th hole as the group in front were still on the green !
This week it landed short of the bunker, but bounced over it before collecting Bernie around the legs as it careered toward the back of the green. However, Bernie's legs deflected the ball at right angles and sent it into the bunker !

A little later Peter's 2nd shot on the par 5, 15th hole came up just short of the green but stopped just behind the large tree on the right foiling his direct shot to the pin and a possible birdie . . . or eagle.

Did anyone ask you why we were playing for the Easter Cup in July?
 Never be optimistic, then you can never be disappointed!   Paul and Glen knock elbows, as you do in these uncertain times! Let us hope Paul's driver does not get a taste for blood 💣  Novelties
Some spirited competition for the novelties this week, particularly the 18th hole, where Gary was first to claim NTP honours playing in the first group.
Later, Peter's 9 iron scored a direct hit on the upper green and disappeared from sight. Bernie was next to hit off and nearly came to grief when her ball flew low over the water, hit the grass about one metre after the dam wall, thundered up the fairway heading for the middle of the left bunker, gracefully leapt up the bunker wall and onto the green, also disappearing from sight. Once up to the green, it was apparent Bernie's ball was closer to the pin than Gary's however, Peter's was closer still . . . . only to be bettered by Max in the final group. Well done Max.
Golden Hole
Another week for the Golden Hole to jackpot ever closer to a Kings ransom!
And gold has increased by 25% since last Christmas to above US$1,925 an ounce!

Only one birthday this last week with congratulations going to Derek for becoming one year wiser!
