I repeat: the Spring Cup has been won by Kerry, don’t you get it?
It was a gorgeous sunny day, not a cloud in the sky,
temperature just perfect for a fine day of golf…
Or was it not?
Old Course, Wembley Golf
Complex, 14 September 2013.
Spring Cup Round 2
Prize sponsor: ?
who was the sponsor today?
What can be said about today? It will go down as the
wettest golfing day ever, at least for me and my underwear. Another personal
poor performance, made worse by ferocious rain and gusty wind. Having lost any
hope of a decent score, the only way to not get mad was to lough about it, and
so it was. Highlights of the day, in chronological order:
1. Finding our balls in the ponds in the middle of
the fairway
2. Glen
DQ’d for finishing hole 16 with the wrong ball...my ball!!!
3. Paul
G shivering on hole #17 while Glen was having a ball in his perfectly water-proof suit
4. Paul
G being run over by his own trolley, while chipping on green #18
Scores.
