It is that time of year again when the SOS membership declare their country of birth so that those born in Australia can compete againd those born in the 'Rest Of the World'. The competition is held over 2 weeks with the winning group taking possession of the Benkerr Cup for the next twelve months.
The Benkerr Cup was won by ROW in 2024.
The scoring is straight forward - the aggregate stableford scores of equal numbers of players from each team are divided by the number of players to yield an average player score.
The weather forecast was for abundant rain showers and considerable wind - and the forecast was correct with most players finishing the 18 holes either damp or sodden!
Perhaps due to the forecast, only 14 players registered for Round 1, with AUS and ROW each fielding 7 players.
