THE MASTERS

One of the premier events of the SOS Tour, "The Masters" was contested today on the Tuart in prefect conditions. The field was a little depleted with some of the tour's star players in Kalgoorlie for their Annual golfing weekend extravaganza.

"The Masters" is only open to, as the name infers, those players that have won a 2 day event any time prior and they were playing stroke. The rest of the field played Stableford.

No blog is complete without a stock photo of Coops woofing off yet another a egg and bacon sandwich - what an appetite!!

Not to be outdone Earle was also seen woofing off a sandwich of his own making?

Gerry featured prominently in this weeks "Spot of Boffa" with an awkward bunker shot on the 15th that he converted to a par and a crazy bounce off the cart path on the 18th that saw him finish close to the fence of the children's playground that he converted to a bogey.

Gerry's second on the 18th with a interested onlooker to the right.

On the subject of Gerry he was playing with a new putter, complete with a "fatso" grip that served him well so he has found a new weapon to add to his arsenal. Apparently he had contemplated getting a Scotty Cameron putter, however upon seeing the "schmucky" look he would have to perfect if he purchased the club decided against it - wise choice as things turned out.

We were saved this look.

Upon completion of the round and returning to the clubhouse we were confronted by Barry with his mitts firmly gripping the "Lolly Bag" and talking possible suicide after returning one of his poorer rounds for the season. Not content with that he was quicker than a starving seagull at a beach café in reaching for the hot chips that arrived at the table.

Glen added his usual flair to "The Wheel of Fortune"

The SOS PRESENTATION NIGHT & DINNER SATURDAY 30 NOVEMBER
LOT SIX ZERO

It saddens me to say that we only have 20 people that have committed to the Clubs main event for the year at the end of the month. We are a social golf club so anyone that hasn't yet said they will be coming please do so now as we have to close the bookings tomorrow.

Hopefully the Kalgoorlie "Mob" will return to Perth much wiser for their experience and not sober having had a great trip and collected a few prizes along the way.

Next week its the "Diggers Trophy" to be played on The Tuart with a 7.24 Tee Off. Glen currently has his mitts on this trophy as well.

I'll leave you with this.

We get a lot of this on the golf course from time to time.
