Austraya Day 2020

AUSTRAYA DAY 2020

Welcome, welcome, welcome from the 'Guest Blogger',,,,

firstly apologies for the delay but my old pc has died and then the BlogMeister kept getting kicked out of the site

But the day started on a beautiful sunny day somewhere in the mid 30's

Perfect weather for us to celebrate the day, as the lovely Carol displays.

we also FINALLY saw the return of Kerry 'Sick Bird' Gardner, as her mojo had just recovered enough to play a round of golf.

Captain's Log:-
"Great to be back after 6 weeks away. Soooo good to see all your smiley      faces.   Now lets's play golf!"

Some birfdays have been missed so please join me in congratulating the following celebrants

Kerry 'Sick Bird'
Brett '4D' Fordham

and AUSTRAYA

So what else happened on the day????

Well i was introduced to some Russian tips with Derek The Blogger chatting away merrily with Barry The Tweaker Treak,,,, most educational it was.

Well done Stiff on another great round.

Moment of the Day

Unfortunately it involved the 2 Russian Speakers as a slightly 'shanked chip' from Bazza 'Hire a Sparky' Treak nearly hit myself and the regal Derek 'I sing with Barry Appleby' as we sauntered ahead.

Friendly fire we classed it as!

It pretty much summed up Bazza's day, although he did get the honour of reading out the fines.

Just a couple of Random Pics for ya (thanks to Derek as my fone ran out of juice too,,,, gotta luv technology)

What a raffle,,,,,, welcome back to Jack The Youngster Tylich to the fold,,,,
just look at that cheeky smile!

So guess who won????

The elegance of the man,,,,

'Yes i was a male model in my youth!' says The Demure Greg

as he practises his Blue Steel look!

Boys will be boys,,,, and bad boys at that,,,,

AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE

Don't forget we have a slightly earlier kick-off next week at 8:30am,,,,

Stiff/Bernie- you have been warned!!!!

And good luck to all those playing in the SOS weekday event at Claremont par3 Course on Thursday.

Please be ready to tee off at 5:30pm

PAR

Par on the Tuart, after a hasty reset by Wembley.

A bit warm, a bit windy, but generally pretty kind conditions, and a couple of outstanding scores.

Still waiting for Brett to line up that putt?

Peter managed to just make it in time, after falling asleep following an almost all nighter checking the club's financial statements.

We've clubbed together to buy him a new one of these.

And Bernie failed to make it at all. Apparently a case of a strained ankle, but we're not sure if it was chasing sheep across the paddock

Watch out, here comes Bernie..

or being chased herself across the paddock.
Watch out, here comes Matt..

More details please, Matt, but keep it decent.

Our new shirt was on display, and we took orders today. Let me know if you want one and weren't there. Size, and long or short sleeve.

Still waiting for my shirt

No-one managed to carry off the Golden Hole today, so that's another jackpot next time we play on the Tuart.

Yep, I won.

A beautiful picture, courtesy of Richard Yeo - the SOS group of almost seventeen years ago. See anyone you recognise?

Next week, it's the Australia Day Cup - a Stableford comp, and if Wembley is to be believed, it'll be on the Old Course.

Sometimes, winning a ball can make all the difference between a crap day and a great day

And a prize for the player who manages to interpret the theme of Australia Day most successfully. Let's all give it a go.
