Stableford

Was this a record?

Only twelve players prepared to face the forecast of 41 degrees.

But a big welcome back to Keith and Carol.

And Happy Birthday wishes to Carol who celebrated a milestone birthday.

It's OK Carol - they say it's the new forty.

Max tucks into a well-earned snack

Originally billed as a 4BBB competition, Gary made an executive decision to make it Stableford, in view of the limited field. Good call, Gary.

And the scores seemed entirely reasonable, given the temperature.

Some new names cropping up on the novelties. That's good.

Interestingly, Perth reached its maximum of 41 degrees at 11.34 am, and Swanbourne 37.6 at 9.55 am.So the sea breeze came in pretty early to cool everyone down. Garden Island (stop me if you're getting bored) hit its maximum really early at 8.33am.

We needed countbacks to establish 2nd, 3rd and 4th, but no doubt about the winner.

Next week, we're enjoying Christmas Cheer at Steph's place - you'll have received a separate email with all the details, and don't forget your $20 gift for the Secret Santa.

The competition is, of course, the Christmas Cup on the Old Course.

And how hot was it really...?
