Rugged up - it's four degrees out here.. |
Back to stroke play today - real golf.
That means you have to finish the hole, come what may. (Note to Richard).
And on election day, we finished nice and early, so no excuse for not voting.
Today's winner was Stephanie, who not only managed three birdies on the front nine, but also won the raffle.

When you're hot, you're hot.
Hot, hot, hot.. |
We wished Malcolm a Happy Birthday for Thursday.
No sign of cake.
And we had the draw for the first round of the match play.
The novelties were keenly fought over.

Except the longest drive. I assume that Rob was the only one who managed to stay on the fairway - he was still a good 150m from the green.
Next week, first qualifying round of the Match Play competition on the Old Course. Here are the pairings:
In the brackets you'll see the player's handicap the last time they played on the Old Course. This may have changed by Saturday - Kerry will have the latest handicaps available.
So, if for instance your opponent has a handicap five lower than you, you will get an extra stroke on your hardest five holes, indices 1 to 5.

John's a spare at the moment - he'll play for anyone who drops out, or play with any late additions.
Unfortunately, I'm not available... |
The next round of the Club Championship is on June 1st. This time it'll be played on the Tuart course.
Ever wondered just how hard you can get away with hitting the ball? These guys had fun finding out.
