First time I have been here early enough for a coffee before the game - been here since 9.00am and found out it’s a 9.44am start!

I wasn’t told the start had changed from 9.10am to 9.44am!  However, back to 9.00am next week

Lynne "excuses" Malone (Photo from blog archives)
Lynne used Saturday’s game to get rid of all her bad shots for the next 5 years!  She also managed to provide 5 years’ worth of excuses including:
Lynne:  “[On my flight back from Melbourne] the airlines bent the shaft of my driver!
Paul:  “You mean its an altitude problem!
Next Hole:  Lynne:  Oops it’s a “grass problem!”

Next hole:  Lynne:  “If I hadn’t babysat last night”
… and so on …….
Match Play -2nd Semi Final Result

Knuckles bared before the game!

A tense, well fought out match featuring very good play and sportmanship from both players.  Paul was 2 up after the 2nd hole but from then on the score was either all square or 1 up with Paul 1 up after the 17th.  On the 18th a very long drive from Paul found the first left side bunker. Greg strategically drove his ball between the big tree and the bank of trees on the right and then hit his ball level with the second left side bunker.  Paul went for the big second shot from the bunker to the green which came up short and Greg was on the green for 3!

After some nervous putts from both players, Greg squared the hole with both players returning to the 18th tee for the first playoff.
Very similar play on the 18th for the first playoff except Paul saw two of his approach shots dribble back off the green.  Greg clinched the game 1 up with accurate putting and now meets Jan Rowling in the final next week.

Winner 1 up on the first playoff on the 18th

No, I did not get an advantage with a bionic arm!
