Ambrose Fours

Going incognito today, keeping the shades on

Threatened to be really hot, but wasn't too bad. (Maybe chugging around in the carts helped - there seemed to be a fair few booked today).

A big thanks to Steph and Shelley for all the work in organising the dinner last week. Shelley's keen to hear any feedback you may have about the evening (she already knows it was noisy).

Trophy or bust today

Having trouble with those drives and putts? Try this course:

Christmas Cheer, now definitely on December 16th, after the game. It'll be at Shelley and Malcolm's, she will distribute details of where and how, but its Kings Apartments, which are on Bishop Street in Daglish.

Ain't nothing gonna stand in our way

And just to be fair, here's a cartoon especially for Roland:

For those of you desperate for a laugh, there's a translation at the end of the blog.

Each person who comes to the Christmas Cheer will bring a wrapped present for Secret Santa - guide price $10-$20. Regifting is fine (actually it's encouraged).

Richard Yeo's (successful) strategy for winning a golf ball

Here's a practice drill one of the pro's at Wembley recommends for getting those putts straighter:

Congrats to Greg for picking up the B Grade Championshi

The competition was Ambrose Fours, that irresponsible game where you can rely on someone else to do a decent drive and get on to the green. Generally, we relied on Lynne.

The fines through the month of November raised $150 for the diggers, a great result, well done everyone. The proposal is to donate to the Kings Park Honour Avenue Group, which is a committee of the Highgate RSL.

Ah well, there's always next week

Translation: There's something Edward hasn't quite understood about how this mini golf works.
