STABLEFORD

Another great day in Paradise!

There's this new game we're working on

I won ten bucks! Earle, let's celebrate.

So I had a poor round..so what?

The only person who ever improved after a lesson from the pro

Who is this man?

Whoa...five points!

What do you mean I had a crap round? I was playing for these.

It's no good, Stan. I've got it in writing and you'll be hearing from my lawyer.

His brother has been studying Earle's golf for many years

Bit of a pants man

Two members in need of uniform counselling

A man and his car. What a beautiful sight.
Birthdays to Ian Holmes and Richard Yeo - happy birthday guys, have a great time.

38 points. Got to be worth something, hey?

This one's going straight down the middle. (It did)

Richard copped a fine for chucking his club past the ladies tee, then forgetting what he'd done with it.

I got distracted

Then Peter drove back two holes looking for his lob wedge, when it was....

I think that story's a bit exaggerated.
......in his bag all the time.

About to go through the gears

Club Championships Round 2 next week. STROKE.....!!!? Aaah..

I ain't takin' no shit from no-one

Apparently we've been doing some whoopsies when we add up the cards. Don't, OK?

Bit of a tight spot

Got out of that OK

How to complete scorecard seminar to be scheduled?
Disappointing to note that for the Club Championship there are two cards which on the face of it are subject to disqualification.  Copies of the cards will be sent to the 2 players concerned.  There were 3 players who overscored their stableford score but escaped disqualification as this was a stroke comp and the stroke scores were correct.

There were 2 players in the Perry Lakes Cup who underscored and either could have been the winner with correct cards.  Even ex Captain Earle made a fool of himself on the 1 April fixture by underscoring by 1 – however, Earle thinks it was a deliberate miscalculation by his partner, Brett, to prevent him from getting a better score!
Glen receiving his 2 balls for 2nd.  Sorry to the other 4 players on 72!

LOLLIES

Countback for the lollies between Rob and Charmaine

13th hole – NTP:  Brenda

Do not recommend starting the day at the 19th hole!!! – Brenda nabbed before the game!!!

Officer:  Madam, would you please blow into the bag.
Brenda:  blow blow blow  blow blow – sorry Officer, I can’t blow, I’m out of wind!
Officer:  I can wait.
Brenda:  Can I have one phone call? (Need to organise Kerry and Paul to swap cart seats in time!)

Is this a “classy” shot or what!!!
On the 17th, bush to bush for the first 2 shots (hope a fine was paid) and then chips in from 76 odd metres for a birdie!!!

Good to see Greg back and looking well– may be playing in a couple of weeks.  Not too sure though about the success of Glen’s operation as he was overheard saying just before Greg presented the prize, “Has Greg arrived?

Why are we waiting, why are we waiting … Group 1 had a long wait before Group 2 arrived.

Another photo opportunity for Shelley and Paul!

Thanks to Lynne and Stephanie for photos and content.

Next Week:  Stableford on the Tuart.  Sponsor:  Clement & Co.

Surprise, an early start on the Tuart Course caught Richard Yeo strolling late to the 1st tee!

Where’s Richard!  May as well do some more limbering up while waiting!

All in a row on the 11th thinking:
Richard:  “**!!** Even driving off the Ladies tees, Lynne’s outdriven me again!”

Lynne:  “The boys’ handicaps are going to suffer hitting off the Ladies tees, even if I am outdriving them!"
Peter:  “Only an inch in front but I’ve finally outdriven Lynne!”

Winning the Lollies (or chocolate Bilby) sees a serious Gim happily fining the masses!

Its not just drinks after the game!

Next week’s game:  Club Championship Round 1.  There are 7 rounds and to be eligible for the open Club Champion, Club Handicap Champion, A Grade Champion, B Grade Champion and Ladies Champion, you need to play at least 11 games in the Winter Season including at least 5 Club Championship rounds.  If you play more than 5 Club Championship rounds, then only the best 5 rounds are counted.  A player can only win one Championship trophy per year in the order of priority as listed above.
Sponsor for next weeks game:  Greg Bennett.  Greg will be coming to drinks after the game which is welcome news!
