Club Championship, Round 4

Yes, we know it was wet, but it wasn't that bad.

Why wouldn't you play golf?

I don't know what they're complaining about

It's not like being out for only 60 runs or anything like that.

Anyone see my ball?

Prototype for the "Flying Buggy"
And somewhat surprisingly, the scores weren't all that bad.

See - there were gaps in the rain
Something to do with acquiring the technique for putting on flooded greens. You just belt the ball. It's not going to go very far.
The ghost of umbrellas past
How do you practice for putting  in treacle?

Some commiserations for Glen, whose putt on the first floated over the top of the hole. I told him not to buy those cheap Chinese balls.
Where we come from that's a warm summer's day

So what if we didn't win?

Shelley thanked all involved with the Christmas in July in August function. It was a great evening, well done everyone who took part.

There was a bit of a NO theme to the afters at the Boulevard - NO raffle, NO lollies, NO prize.

(Not strictly true, we did eventually find some lollies. BTW, why wouldn't that kid on the next table stop crying? )

Lollies worth winning!

Next week, Par Plus.

Beginning to warm up again

The Golden Hole wasn't claimed this week, so it jackpots to $73 next time.

Our stroke play finalists!
And what about the results? A very solid round from Glen who went round in 79 off the stick. Peter and Glen reckon they're getting value from those lessons.
