Club  Championship 6

Tuart Course:  23 September 2017

Peter has been a proud duck sitter during the week

Not a bad result Peter - 12 ducklings!

Bionic Man

4 days in hospital during the week getting new body parts and new pace maker but still managed a more than creditable showing on the golf course only hitting at 3/4 pace!  Well done Gary!

Whose leg was that!  Gary collected a ball for correctly identifying Stan’s leg

New Competition;  Who belongs to the below elbow! The owner of the elbow and his/her family members are ineligible to enter.  A golf ball to the winner!

Move over Rosco

A short break in the travels of a grey nomad as Colin Kerr has a welcomed return to SOS Golf

What's this reciprocal chest rubbing!  Had to stop the camera at the first chest rub!

Great! 5 hours of peace!  Charmaine is in another group!

Hi Earle, I've brought my trophies  in for engraving.  Have you got a trailer!

What can you do with this pesky Stan!

Rob rarin' to go all kitted up in his wet weather gear - read on for the next instalment!

During the game

Intermittent rain to start off and occasional windy patches but on the whole we were lucky with the weather.

No tears please for this next segment!!!!!

Brett is in there somewhere.  Blackboys 1 (swallowed Brett's ball) - Brett 0.

Brett in the trees!

How many holes to go!  Not to sure if this was Brett or Phil!
Brett gets his own back!  While I am rescuing his buggy from the wind, he calmly watches mine career down the path before crashing!

Par Bisque
Old Course:  16 September 2017

Competition
Whose leg is this?  First to notify a Committee member with correct name wins a ball!
No competition winner!
Before the Game!

Gary relieved that his stint as relieving booking officer has come to an end!
Stan wistfully thinking he can claim money from Earle after the game!

Not too sure whether losing some of his clothes helped Mal's game!

Looking dapper but to quote Earle "Two players out of form?" Did Gary's missing loud plants let him down!
Talking tactics before the game did not help out on the course!
Stephanie & Brenda ready to tear up the course

Roger eager to show that absence hasn't affected his game

Only look in that West Coast got on Saturday!

Mal’s 2 STUDs  ie, shot totally under driven (the polite version)

Was Coach giving tips to Mal before or after the 2 STUDS

Now Gordon, isn't that being a bit too harsh on Ciaran

I don't think Brett ever needs encouragement to play his normal game

Gordon scrounging around for another provisional/lost ball!

After the game enjoying drinks outside in the sun - don't the club's blue shirts look good en masse

Spring Cup Round 2 and Sausage Sizzle

What a day!

Round 2 of the Spring Cup

Probably the hottest day of the year so far

And the Eagles in an elimination final

Not to mention the Rugby

And now, by popular request, another round of

So, guess the pants. The answer is at the "bottom" of the blog.

Richard Yeo back in business

And cakes!!

Hope you didn't miss it.

The golf was good, but bear this in mind..

Thomas bagged an eagle on the 10th.

Not content with a mere birdie

Gim fined herself for not doing anything wrong.

Then went on to win the raffle

Shelley needs final numbers for the Spring Cup by September 26th at the very very latest.

AND - our contributions for the Golden Hole and the Eagle's Nest never add up. If you're ticking your name off in the columns, put your cash in the jar. Last chance before the first ball is played, no late contributions.

The Golden Hole remains unclaimed for another week:

Thomas' amazing first round gave him an unassailable lead as it turns out..

Well done, a great trophy win.

So, we celebrated Vickie's birthday at Perry Lakes.

And for her birthday, she got one of these:

Pretty flash, huh. And just a word of warning...

Some pretty good snag wrangling from Earle and his trusty sidekick Malcolm.

And some memories of a memorable afternoon...

Another great sausage sizzle. Special thanks to Thomas for organising it and getting all the drinks, Tui for the great potato salad, Frances for buying the sausages and buns, Steph for the great kiwi coleslaw, Brenda for the scrumptious rocket, walnut and pear salad, Gary for the Greek salad with a twist, Vickie for the amazing cakes and everyone else who contributed.

 And now..

There..you guessed it.
