Winners are Grinners

A somewhat belated acknowledgement of Earle's triumph on July 14th. Note the practised handshake and pose for camera of a regular winner!

4BBB and Match Play Quarter-Finals

What a beautiful day for golf - in spite of dire weather warnings, twenty degrees, blue skies all the way, and the Tuart at its welcoming best.

The quarter finals of the Match Play competition proved nail-bitingly competitive:

Greg edged out Earle
Don beat Gary on countback
Peter bested Lynne
and Lorenzo and David Ross are still to settle the other quarter-final.

Today's novelties:

David Ross on the 3rd
Glenn on the 9th
Earle on the 12th, and
Mike on the 15th.

The 4BBB competition threw up a range of scores, from a minus 6 to the following star combinations:

Paul and Derek  +4
Kerry and Tony +4
Christine and Bernie +4
Shelley and Ross +5
Gary and Don +7

We hear that Goldfinger is now holding around $230 for the competition on the 16th next week, and Christmas in July is only two weeks away. More details to follow, but it'll start at 6.30 pm, BYO booze and soft drink.
